If you’re reading this, there’s a very good chance you already have a skateboard. So why the hell would you want a mini-skateboard? What can they do that a normal skateboard can’t? What are the advantages of them? Here are a few things that come to mind:

They’re fun

They’re just a whole heap of fun to play around with. Pull one of these out and everyone will gather round to check it out. Everyone wants a go with one.

They’re portable

They’re much easier to throw in a bag than the traditional skateboard. If you’re taking a trip and you’re desperate to take a board, the miniboard is a great option.

They’re something new and different

Ever get bored of the same old board? Here’s something new. They’ll reignite your interest because…

They’re a new challenge

Mini-skateboards offer a whole new challenge. The smaller size doesn’t make them easier to use. Just try your old tricks on this board and see how it comes up.

They’re great for kids

Not that they’re just for kids. But they are perfectly suited to them. Obviously the size makes them much more approachable for a child.

Obviously, the size of them makes them much easier for kids to control than the larger standard boards.

But the advantages go beyond this somewhat. Kids find mini-skateboards much easier to relate to. They feel like they are meant for them. They can see that the board is in proportion to them and feel more at ease with it. They are not as intimidated by them as they sometimes can be by the larger boards.

Welcome to our site dedicated to mini-skateboards. Here we’ll be covering everything connected with them over time. But let’s start off with a quick definition of what we’re talking about.

The design of skateboards has developed in many ways over the years. One particular innovation has been the differing sizes.

As well as the standard size and the long-board, the mini-skateboard has become increasingly popular. These skateboards are usually classed as those shorter than thirty inches in length.

As well as the obvious difference in the size of the deck, they also have shortened trucks that are required to fit the smaller deck.

Fingerboards

Another common use of the phrase ‘mini-skateboard’ is to describe the hand size, toy skateboards that you ride with your fingers. These are more commonly known as ‘fingerboards’ but the terminology is often confused.

We will be covering these on the site from time to time. Just because they are so much fun.
